Hear everyone’s favourite tongue twisting I’ve Been Everywhere, the ‘unof?cial national anthem’ Waltzing Matilda and many more songs from our Australian Songbook. This hand made musical tribute also features other songs from our country’s most loved bands and artists including The Seekers, Peter Dawson, Johnny O’Keefe, Lucky Starr, Chad Morgan, Slim Dusty, and of course The Beggars. “World-class musicians” Rock Times, (Germany) 2010 The Beggars are a hard working trio made up of three brilliant internationally acclaimed Australian singer/songwriters. Renee Donaghey, Stuart Day and Quinton Dunne all with a strong connection with Australia’s land and culture, guest musician Trev Warner is a multi award winning instrumentalist. “The best Australian vocal band since the seekers” Normie Rowe Renee, with her crystal clear Country music tone, was born on the family farm in Esperance, Western Australia, when her family was forced off the land by hard times, she moved to Adelaide. Stuart, an ARIA nominated multi-instrumentalist, and Quinton, who has recorded and toured with many artists including The Seekers, paid their dues in touring bands often playing 300 shows a year. They finished with the touring life and returned to Adelaide where they met Renee and formed The Beggars in 2006. The Beggars true blue Aussie sound caught the ears of European DJs who introduced them to millions of listeners putting the band on top 10 charts across the E.U. Their stage presence and style have taken them around the world and continues to gain them fans in many countries. Their covers of I’ve Been Everywhere and The Whale from the 2011 Australian Songbook CD both chart regularly on the iTunes world music chart.
